When we think back to the people who shaped our path, it’s not always the formal lessons we remember.

It’s the moment someone handed us a tool, looked us in the eye, allowed us to participate and said, “Try it! "

Mentorship is action — not just in classrooms and training centers, but across kitchen tables, in the back yard, and through projects that are memorable and impactful.

It’s the seasoned hands guiding young ones through curiosity, confidence, and skill. It's allowing kids to explore and be a part of something new to them. It's inviting them to have an active role in the moment.

It's showing up for them in their world as well. Showing up to an invitation they have sent, it's showing up unexpectedly at their performance or game, it's taking the time to send a card in the mail to congratulate them on something they have achieved.

I’ve seen how mentorship lifts kids beyond what they thought was possible.
